Math Club Do you enjoy solving puzzles and challenging yourself? Join Math Club! Math Club is for fourth and fifth grade students who are interested in learning multiple strategies to solve math problems. Each meeting will begin with games that involve logic or strategy. Then we will work together to solve problems taken from previous years’ math contests. Students will have opportunities to solve problems on their own. Mrs. Himmel and Mrs. Sun MathCounts MathCounts is a nationwide math enrichment program that is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Students meet once a week to prepare to participate in a regional contest in February at UMC here in Columbia. MathCounts 2010-2011 will begin on Thursday, October 7 at 3:20-4:10 p.m. in Room 208 and will continue every Thursday thereafter.
