This page lists assignment and classroom activities from Grades 6-8.  If nothing is listed for your child's teacher, please contact them directly to inquire about class activities.

6th Grade:
Art (Mrs. Davis): We will begin working on the name project. 

English (Mrs. Gilpatrick): Grammar Day: Video (26 minutes), practice sheet. Homework: Finish practice sheet. Spelling Log for 9/8.

Math 6A (Mrs. Schelich): Students will need to bring all assignments from their Math folder to turn in and will take a small quiz over the week's assignments. No homework.

Math 6R (Mrs. Schelich): Students will need to bring all assignments from their Math folder to turn in and will take a small quiz over the week's assignments. No homework.

Reading (Mrs. Gilpatrick): Comprehension packet, IR. Homework: Reading Calendar (RC).

Religion (Mrs. Schnurr): Use study guide and notes to prepare for test on Tuesday. Notebook needed.

Science (Mrs. Schelich): Students will be asked to label the Lab Equipment on a worksheet and they will work with a centimeter ruler. No homework.

Social Studies (Mrs. Ewing): Chapter 1. Textbook needed.

7th Grade:
Art (Mrs. Davis): Homework will be checked.  Work will begin on the project. 

Language Arts (Mrs. Ernst): Grammar textbook Unit 1 pages 43-47. Classwork: 4-8; 1-10. Homework: 11-28. Homework quiz on Wednesday. Learn Fanboys (Coordinating conjunctions). Read Chapters 1-3 (pp. 1-6) in "Walk Two Moons." Discuss in literature circe.  Fill out group evaluation form.

Math (Mrs. Nolke): Section 1.6 - page 30 #8-16 even, 17, 18, 21-27 all. No tests or quizes tomorrow. Textbook needed.

Pre-Algebra (Mrs. Nolke): Section 1.6 - page 30 #20-52 even. No tests or quizes tomorrow. Textbook needed.

Religion (Mrs. Gilmore):  Read pp. 26-28. Create a family crest. Textbook needed.

Science (Mrs. Johnson): Surface Area and Volume notes. Start Area and Volume labs. Binder needed.

Social Studies (Mrs. Ewing): Ch. 1, US/Canada.

Spanish (Mrs. Greenlief): Homework: Numbers Paquete pp. 5 & 6 due 9/7. Don't forget Conjuguemos this week: #4 (Greetings) and #25 (Numbers). Wordplay this week:  Numbers (all lessons).

8th Grade:
Algebra (Mrs. Nolke): Section 1.6 - page 38 #1-11 all. No tests or quizes tomorrow. Textbook needed.

Art (Mrs. Davis): Discuss illuminated letters and some history of writing.  Notes will be taken. 

Language Arts (Mrs. Ernst): Grammar textbook Unit 1 pp. 57-62, Classwork 1-14, Homework: 15-28. Grammar textbook Unit 1: On Your Own read pp. 61-62. Homework: 1-18.  Outsiders PowerPoint.  Follow rubric.  Presentations begin Thursday, September 2 and continue Friday, September 3.  Please bring a flashdrive with the PowerPoint AND a printout of the PowerPoint. Read chapters 1 through 3 in "The Outsiders."  Complete study guide. Homework quiz on Wednesday.

Pre-Algebra (Mrs. Nolke): Section 1.6 - page 30 #20-52 even. No tests or quizes tomorrow. Textbook needed.

Religion (Mrs. Schnurr): Use study guide and notes to prepare for test on Tuesday. Write a sample essay on Trinity. Notebook needed.

Science (Mrs. Johnson): Review Science Method. Paper Towel Lab.  Homework: Smoot Extra Credit due Friday. Binder needed.

Social Studies (Mrs. Gilmore): Reading Readiness page for Chapter 2, Section 1. Read pp. 36-43.   Textbook needed.

Spanish (Mrs. Greenlief): Don't forget Conjuguemos this week: #8 (Ch. 2A), #9 (Ch. 2B), and Verbs #4 (Reg. AR Verbs).
